Yes, It’s Been Quite A Summer!!!
As we close out the Summer of ‘26, and roll right into the two year anniversary of the destruction left behind by the remnants of Hurricane Helene, we can’t help but be amazed at the resilience that has occurred throughout Western North Carolina.
While we lost a few of the area’s most beloved venues, that will never be replaced, we have seen a number of new openings from folks doing their part to keep the Asheville area music scene alive and well.
On our end, the Summer of ‘26 saw new record high traffic as music loving visitors from all over the world converge to help with the recovery and enjoy the splendor of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Like them, if you are reading this blog post, there’s a 62% chance that you found out about us on your internet search. We are blessed to be recognized by Google and all the other major search engines as the most relevant source to discover Asheville area music!!!
Although we originally started out back in 2019 as a labor of love, we are now supported by a number of the area’s finest venues and local musicians, that realize our audience is an audience they need to reach!!!
Without them, we would certainly not have been able to maintain the workload required to bring you the area’s most complete local music calendar. Each of these purveyors of live music not only supports local music, but also in some way, supports our efforts to bring you the Asheville area’s most complete and reliable music calendar. Pisgah Brewing in Black Mountain opened up a brand new indoor taproom early last year and boasts what we consider one of the best sounding rooms in the area. You’ll find a wide variety of live music throughout the week as well as their famous Pisgah Sunday Jam most Sunday evenings with some of the finest talent in the area. Jack Of The Wood is a downtown hot spot for food, brews and drink since 1997 and founders Joan and Joe Eckert who still own it, have maintained the original lively English and Irish vibe. The old-time mountain and Irish music jams continue, including a hot bluegrass jam Thursdays and brunch every Sunday. You’ll also find local and regional bands every Friday and Saturday night.
