The Legacy Neighborhood Coalition Festival

The Legacy Neighborhood Coalition Festival is a free, family-friendly celebration honoring the people, history, and traditions of Asheville’s legacy neighborhoods. Held at Memorial Stadium on August 28–29, 2026, the festival brings together the communities of Burton Street, East End/Valley Street, Emma, Shiloh, and Southside for a weekend filled with music, food, storytelling, art, youth activities, and cultural experiences.
Designed as a community homecoming, the Legacy Neighborhood Coalition Festival invites residents, former neighbors, legacy families, and visitors to reconnect through shared stories, neighborhood pride, and collective celebration. Festival highlights include live performances, local vendors, family activities, cultural demonstrations, community exhibits, and a special neighborhood tour experience that connects visitors to the rich history of Asheville’s legacy communities.
