Host of the roots music history podcast, American Songcatcher, Nicholas Edward Williams is a multi-instrumentalist and storyteller who is dedicated to “playing it forward” by preserving the songs, stories, artists and styles that have shaped our country: Ragtime, Piedmont Blues, Early Country, Traditional Folk and Old-Time.
Hannah Kaminer is an Asheville, North Carolina-based artist who is known for her poignant songwriting, clear voice, and often comedic stage presence. Raised in small towns in Western North Carolina, Kaminer writes songs about love, loss, and home, fusing echoes of Appalachian and country traditions with wistful, Americana-style songwriting.
Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Transylvania county chapter of JuniorAppalachian Musicians (JAM,) a nonprofit whose mission is ” to provide communities with the tools and support they need to teach children to play and dance to traditional old time and bluegrass music” and “.. [to give children] the opportunity to experience community through the joy of participating in traditional mountain music together.”
