Tyler Levy | Album Release

Atlanta bandleader & tenor saxophonist Tyler Levy brings a stellar Southern quartet to Hotel Eve Jazz Club for a special performance celebrating the release of Tyler’s new LP/album, Appointment in Atlanta. The group features Tyler on tenor saxophone, Nathanael Smith on piano, Steve LaSpina on bass, and Ryan Ptasnik on drums. Tyler’s quartet will perform two sets of powerful, rarely heard/performed hard bop and spiritual jazz, including music by sax legends Gato Barbieri, Billy Harper, Pharoah Sanders, and Bobby Watson; selections from Tyler’s new album/release Appointment in Atlanta; and originals by Tyler’s sidemen. This group’s sound, which is informed by Tyler’s environmental and human rights work/advocacy, reflects a deep commitment to truth, melody, freedom & emotional expression-the essence of modern jazz.

$10 weekdays -$15 weekends at the door (all ticket proceeds are 100% passed to the band, backed by a living wage guarantee from Hotel Eve)
