Robert Thomas Band

The Asheville-based, Robert Thomas Band is a tightly-knit, multi-genre, keyboard/guitar-infused, 4-piece ensemble. Urban Sunset, the band’s latest CD, weaves a musical tapestry of highly original, seriously clever, jazzy compositions, inspired by the music of the Pat Metheny Group, Jeff Beck, Vince Guaraldi, and Steely Dan.

In addition to an extensive catalog of original music, the band’s set list includes a broad range of cover tunes:  Sting, Steely Dan, Bruce Hornsby, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Al Jarreau, Ray Charles, Todd Rundgren, Harry Connick, Jr.,and Elton John.
