Inspired by their own influences and the roots of traditional and newgrass music, North Carolina–based quintet Unspoken Tradition channels a sound that is both impassioned and nostalgic—equal parts hard-driving fire and heartfelt sincerity. Their music carries the soul of Appalachian storytelling.

Unspoken Tradition’s material reflects the evolving culture of Western North Carolina, the place they proudly call home. Their songs echo the resilient spirit of Appalachia  while pushing the boundaries of modern roots music. This has earned them a devoted following first in the Southeast with sold-out shows in Charlotte, Raleigh and Asheville, NC, Nashville’s legendary Station Inn, and now growing nationwide as their résumé includes multiple performances on the coveted Watson Stage at MerleFest, Grey Fox and Earl Scruggs fests, and countless performing arts centers and festivals.

With heavy airplay on SiriusXM’s Bluegrass Junction and ever-growing streaming numbers, Unspoken Tradition is a fast-rising voice for a new generation of roots music artists. Fueled by passion, craft, and authenticity, they continue to bring their music to audiences across the country.

Founded in 2005, Pisgah is known for producing some of the most sought after craft ales in Western North Carolina.
