Lauralee’s 6th annual fundraiser for Project Lighten Up and Project Sunwave

Hey Ya’ll I am hosting my 6th annual birthday fundraiser at The Mule to support Project Lighten Up (Asheville) and Project Sunwave (South Africa).
The event includes local artists, live music, food trucks, Polaroid photo booth, and an online auction!

Project Lighten Up offers both afterschool programming and hosts a summer camp providing a structured environment where students strengthen their academic skills and grow culturally and personally. Youth are inspired and engaged during school breaks.

Project SunWave (PSW), located in Lamberts Bay, South Africa, provides ocean therapy, teaching essential life skills while connecting youth to the water. To date, 450 children have completed a drown-proof certification program.
PSW operates five programs, including daily afterschool and Saturday academic support using Cambridge learning, along with full-day programming during school breaks that features SUP surfing, ocean therapy, environmental stewardship and water safety.
