K A T R I N A is an Asheville based vocalist and songwriter with a deep love for intimate phrasing and modern harmony. Saturday night, she is joined by pianist Lenny Pettinelli and saxophonist Peter Dimery for an evening built around melody, emotion, and groove.
The trio reimagines familiar favorites in a “pop goes jazz” style, taking well known songs and dressing them in smoky chords, subtle reharmonizations, and improvisations that leave plenty of space for the lyrics to breathe. You might recognize the tunes, but they arrive with fresh swing, cool bossa undertones, and late night lounge energy.
Alongside these reinvented standards, K A T R I N A will share a handful of original songs that lean into storytelling, warm tone, and dynamic interplay with keys and sax. Expect a set that feels both nostalgic and new, perfect for lingering over a drink, catching every word, and letting the band pull you into their little nighttime world.
