Mr Jimmy and the Blues All Stars

A lifelong resident of the city’s infamous South Side, Mr Jimmy has shared the stage with Buddy Guy, Koko Taylor, LThe Mr Jimmy Quintet plays strittle Milton, James Cotton, Junior Wells, Lefty Dizz,  Jimmy Dawkins, Johnny Twist, and the list goes on… In addition to his live performances, he has released 10 albums of original music with the Chicago Kingsnakes and was pleased to announce his debut solo release “All Alone With the Blues” in July 2020.

Jack Of The Wood is still a downtown hot spot for food, brews and drink since 1997 and founders Joan and Joe Eckert who still own it, have maintained the original lively English and Irish vibe. The old-time mountain and Irish music jams continue, including a hot bluegrass jam Thursdays and brunch every Sunday.
