Gospel Night with The Fabulous Highway QC’s

The Fabulous Highway QC’s from Chicago return to The Double Crown Thanksgiving Thursday November 27th. 9 pm $10

The Fabulous Highway Q.C.’s, now known simply as The Highway Q.C.’s, are a highly influential Chicago-based gospel group founded in 1945. This group is famous for being a stepping stone for legendary artists like Sam Cooke, Lou Rawls, and Johnnie Taylor, who all sang with them before launching their own successful careers. The group continues to perform today, led by long-time member Spencer Taylor Jr., who passed away in September.

The Double Crown – Great vibes, great bourbon, and great music! (21+ only, dog friendly) A West Asheville institution, the Double Crown hosts Western Wednesdays, karaoke, DJ’s and rousing Gospel & Soul night’s each month. It’s a great place for an intimate evening of dancing, drinks and fun, especially if you love a good dive bar.
