Brad Walker Quartet ft. Zack Page, Alex Taub, & Al Sergel

December 26, 2025 @ 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Brad Walker is among the most active and sought-after performers in New Orleans, celebrated for his soaring, energetic, and deeply tasteful saxophone work. Widely recognized for his high-profile performances on Saturday Night Live, the Grammy Awards, and The Tonight Show with Sturgill Simpson, Walker has also established himself as a compelling artist and bandleader in his own right.

With over a decade of music-making in the Crescent City, Walker has released seven full-length albums under his own name. His 2014 debut, Quintet, earned a 4-star review from DownBeat Magazine, and his work has been praised by Rolling Stone, NPR, Relix, Variety, The Times-Picayune, OffBeat Magazine, and Gambit Weekly, among others.

Walker is a multiple-time nominee for New Orleans’ most prestigious music honors, including OffBeat Magazine’s Best of the Beat Awards and the Big Easy Awards. In 2020, he received nominations for Best Contemporary Jazz Artist and Best Record (Live at Snug Harbor), alongside internationally recognized artists such as Nicholas Payton, Jon Batiste, and Terence Blanchard. Additional nominations followed in 2021 for Best Saxophonist, Best Contemporary Jazz Artist, and Best Contemporary Jazz Album (The Dockside Sessions).

Since 2009, Walker has performed and recorded with an extraordinary range of artists, including Anders Osborne, Bernard Purdie, Peter Erskine, George Porter Jr., Ivan Neville and Dumpstaphunk, Zigaboo Modeliste, Rickie Lee Jones, Valerie June, Better Than Ezra, and U2 (with Hal Willner). He has also led horn sections for Blues Award-winner Ana Popovic and OffBeat Award-winning artists Eric Lindell, Johnny Sketch and the Dirty Notes, Honey Island Swamp Band, and Colin Lake.

Since 2016, Walker has been a frequent collaborator with New Orleans native PJ Morton, recording on multiple Grammy Award-winning and nominated albums and appearing on national broadcasts including The Today Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and BET Gospel Super Bowl. Grounded in New Orleans tradition while pushing contemporary jazz forward, Brad Walker brings both world-class credentials and undeniable energy to every performance.
