A singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist who excels at the harp, Mikaela Davis navigates the sounds of folk, country-rock, vintage pop, indie rock, psychedelia, and chamber pop on her textured songs. Pitchfork described her music as “rugged alt-country, twangy roots rock, paisley-bedecked Laurel Canyon psychedelia, and jam-band choogle, always staying anchored in the interplay between the stringed instruments.
Over the years, Nic Panken, the Brooklyn-born songwriter has endeavored to spread the invigorating presence of song, initially through fronting the Americana-folk group Spirit Family Reunion and now, through his own evolution as a solo artist.
The AyurPrana Listening Room was constructed within the walls of a former church and built to compliment and expand upon the natural acoustics of the room by way of fresh audio equipment and extraordinary sound treatment. Interplaced between acoustic panels and rustically braced arches, sliding panels adorn the windows and upstage walls allowing the ability to fine-tune the liveliness of the room.
