Adam Rose + Mountain Jazz Quartet | Album Release Show

Adam Rose draws on a diverse background in jazz, classical, indie-rock and Americana genres. He learned to play jazz at the Philadelphia Clef Club, then worked as a producer and film composer in NYC before moving to Durham NC. There he continued his studies as a graduate assistant in composition and arranging. Since moving to Asheville in 2022 he’s collaborated with the areas finest musicians to create music that is evocative of both urban + Appalachian landscapes. This show at Hotel Eve celebrates his recently release of the highly anticipated new album, Holler Serenade.

Adam is joined by Brandon Blackburn on drums, Steve LaSpina on upright bass, and Iliana Rose on piano. Blackburn has toured throughout the US and Canada, performing at notable venues such as the Newberry Opera House, Carnegie Hall, and Town Hall in New York. Iliana Rose is a Cuban-American pianist, vocalist, composer, arranger, educator, and bandleader. An international touring and recording artist, she leads the Iliana Rose Cuban Jazz Band and presents performances, workshops, and lecture-performances nationwide, to celebrate and preserve Afro-Cuban musical traditions. LaSpina, who performed on Rose’s new album “Holler Serendade” is an internationally renowned bassist and composer. His background includes work with Stan Getz, Chet Baker and Jim Hall.

$10 weekdays -$15 weekends at the door (all ticket proceeds are 100% passed to the band, backed by a living wage guarantee from Hotel Eve)
