Proceeds from Arbor Evenings help support the The North Carolina Arboretum Society and further advance the Arboretum’s mission. \nFood is available for purchase from a rotating selection of local food trucks. See Performance Schedule click here! \nBeer\, Wine\, and soft drinks will be for sale onsite at the Green Gardener’s Shed from 5:30 to 8:15 p.m. each night of the event. Outside alcohol is strictly prohibited\, but guests are welcome to bring in water or a favorite non-alcoholic beverage. \nArborEvenings is a rain or shine event. In the event of rain\, Arbor Evenings will relocate indoors to the Baker Visitor Center.

Joining Sage will be master cellist Dave Eggar (Paul Simon). The show is a co-bill with Kristen Ford\, who has an album coming on Ani DiFranco’s Righteous Babe Records in August\, and guitarist extraordinaire\, Christie Lenee. \nSinger-songwriter\, producer and poet Rachael Sage has released over 20 albums and EPs of empowered alt-folk-pop on her own label MPress Records since first bursting onto the music scene via Lilith Fair. An outspoken activist on behalf of many causes including LGBTQ+ rights\, anti-gun violence and women’s health issues. Her music has been described by PopMatters as “a hopeful message beneath the undertow of visceral struggle we have collectively experienced over the last few years”. \nOn Pinto\, the queer\, biracial\, songwriter Kristen Ford blasts beyond the point of caution and unveils a wild landscape of visceral emotion. Ford’s world is one of the deepest feelings: whether fuming at queer repression\, falling head over heels in love\, or learning to practice true self-acceptance. Pinto is a place where she can be share her losses while being mindful enough to acknowledge her wins. \n“Acoustic Guitarist of the Year” and celebrated singer/songwriter Christie Lenée is more than a musician – she’s an experience.
