As Suns Of Stars has been gathering momentum they’ve picked up Alex Ball (fiddle/violin) and Gabe Epstein (banjo)\, both graduates of the ETSU Bluegrass program. Suns Of Stars members are all hometown heros in various musical projects around town which has led to great turnout at their shows. A fiddle\, guitars\, standup bass and banjo uke round out this engaging and energetic group\, playing in the traditional style of Appalachian roots music. \nJack Of The Wood is still a downtown hot spot for food\, brews and drink since 1997 and founders Joan and Joe Eckert who still own it\, have maintained the original lively English and Irish vibe. The old-time mountain and Irish music jams continue\, including a hot bluegrass jam Thursdays and brunch every Sunday.
