Featuring the return of Hank West on trumpet from his now-home of New Orleans where he has been harvesting the roots of hot jazz for his ju-ju bag. The reeds are handled with surgical precision by the newest addition to the Land-of-the Sky\, Dr. Gary Rodberg of Firecracker Jazz band. Add to the pair of winds the veteran high-country rhythms of Craig Kelberg on bass (of Dreamboats fame)\, Andrew Fletcher on piano and Jason Krekel on strings (both of Firecracker Jazz band). The band will have the room moving with selections from the song books of Jellyroll Morton\, Bix Beiderbecke and Louis Armstrong to name a few. DESCRIPTION:Suns of Stars Goose After Party @ One World Brewing Downtown!\n\nOrbiting around Asheville’s grateful music scene since late 2023\, Suns Of Stars blends contemporary and traditional bluegrass with a high energy jam style. At its core lies the trio of Alex Bazemore (guitar)\, and Asheville’s own Jackson Chisholm (upright bass) and Johnny Humphries (mandolin)\, son of local Bluegrass legend Don Humphries. As Suns Of Stars has been gathering momentum they’ve picked up Alex Ball (fiddle/violin) and Gabe Epstein (banjo)\, both graduates of the ETSU Bluegrass program. Suns Of Stars members are all hometown heros in various musical projects around town which has led to great turnout at their shows. That\, along with a massive song repertoire and growing list of original music make for a unique performance each time.\n\n$10 Cover\n\n\nWith two unique locations\, built inside buildings that were previously cast aside\, One World brews with the intention of fostering nourishing interaction and artistic cultural experiences. From live music to art shows\, “One World Brewing” is born from the magic that happens when the whole becomes greater than the sum of its parts.
