Which means that the inevitable reality of winter will soon lead to the momentous occasion at Pisgah Brewing known as… STOUT HOG DAY!! \nStout Hog Day 2026 will kick off at 11am on Sunday\, February 8th\, and will feature a taproom full of stouts and darks with some of Pisgah’s finest darker brews + a variety of special dark beer releases/variations.\n\nA new tradition was born in 2014 as the staff of Pisgah Brewing decided to add a fulfilling twist to the day by starting off with the Brewer’s Breakfast\, a full early afternoon of free pancakes for all (while supplies last) prepared by the brewers and staff themselves for their loyal fans.\n\nAnd what’s Stout Hog Day without live music? Drew Matulich & Friends featuring Lyndsay Pruett\, Stig Stiglets and Korey Brodsky\, will perform a special set of Doc Watson tunes and a set of bluegrass standards/originals – they will begin around 2pm on the indoor stage.\n\n$2 off canned beer to go for the Super Bowl that evening.\n\n\nFounded in 2005\, Pisgah is known for producing some of the most sought after craft ales in Western North Carolina. Pisgah Brewing Company currently operates an indoor taproom and an open air outdoor bar in the summer and fall months with live music several days a week. Suns Of Stars members are all hometown heros in various musical projects around town which has led to great turnout at their shows. At its core lies the trio of Alex Bazemore (guitar)\, and Asheville’s own Jackson Chisholm (upright bass) and Johnny Humphries (mandolin)\, son of local Bluegrass legend Don Humphries. As Suns Of Stars has been gathering momentum they’ve picked up Alex Ball (fiddle) and Jason Flournoy (banjo). Suns Of Stars members are all hometown heroes in various musical projects around town which has led to great turnout at their shows.
