The band’s music is a blend of bluegrass\, rock\, country\, and Cajun/Zydeco. In their fourth decade as a band\, Leftover Salmon’s current lineup has been together longer than any other and is one of their strongest ever. Built around founding members Drew Emmitt and Vince Herman\, the band is now powered by banjo wizard Andy Thorn\, the steady rhythm section of bassist Greg Garrison and drummer Alwyn Robinson\, along with dobro and keyboard player Jay Starling. This lineup continues Salmon’s storied history\, which began with their roots in progressive bluegrass and evolved as they became one of the original jam bands and the architects of what is now known as jamgrass. \n  \nFrench Broad River Brewery is more than just a place to enjoy a drink—it’s a community hub where great beer\, delicious pizza\, live music\, and good times come together. This weekly jam aims to be a welcoming\, respectful space where professional musicians\, rising artists\, and everyone in between can come together to collaborate\, connect\, and learn from each other.\nEach week will feature a thoughtfully curated group of musicians who will start the night with a short set and then open the night to a jam. The goal is to build community across different generations\, backgrounds\, genres\, and levels of experience.
