Most recently known for his role in Dead & Company\, Oteil joined Bob Weir\, Bill Kreutzmann\, and Mickey Hart alongside John Mayer for ten major tours\, helping carry forward the Grateful Dead legacy for a new generation.A founding member of the early ’90s Southern jazz-fusion group Col. Bruce Hampton & the Aquarium Rescue Unit\, Oteil later became the longest-tenured bassist in the history of The Allman Brothers Band. As Suns Of Stars has been gathering momentum they’ve picked up Alex Ball (fiddle) and Jason Flournoy (banjo). Suns Of Stars members are all hometown heroes in various musical projects around town which has led to great turnout at their shows.
