Bluegrass Jam Special Edition ft. Darren Nicholson & Shawn Lane

We’re always thrilled to welcome the extraordinary DARREN NICHOLSON back to perform at @jackofthewood
Aside from being one of the nicest fellas around, Darren is a Grammy nominee & a 13-time IBMA Award winner who’s been playing mountain music since his youth here in Western NC. A punchy mandolinist and an introspective songwriter, harmony singer, and lead vocalist, Darren has made it his mission to create shows that are genuine, fun-witted, and designed to make everyone feel right at home.
Shawn Lane is three-time GRAMMY Nominee and 28-time IBMA Award winner with Blue Highway. Lane is an explosive vocalist & instrumentalist, as well as a respected songwriter. He was nominated as 2015 IBMA Songwriter of the Year, and has penned such iconic songs as “The Game”, “Sycamore Hollow”, and “Tears Fell on Missouri”.
Lane played in the bands of both Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder and Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver prior to becoming a founding member of Blue Highway in 1994. He has also toured or recorded with Lee Ann Womack, Alison Krauss, Dan Tyminski, Larry Sparks, Kenny Chesney, Jerry Douglas, and Willie Nelson, among others.
