A free-to-attend afternoon dedicated to supporting the recovery of our community hosted by Ritual Recovery with musical performances by The Hillclimbers, The Dirty French Broads, and Carolina Cold Ones. Free T-shirts and complimentary meals from Tin Can pizzeria.

Youth musicians, ages 10-18, of all skill levels, are welcome to perform. Solo act? Yes! Have a small group? That works, too! Arrive by 2 p.m. to sign up.

Kelle Jolly performs on December 7, 4-6 p.m. Kelle is an “Affrilachian-Georgia-lina-Peach,” embracing a rich blend of cultural influences. Through the art of storytelling and her mastery of the ukulele, she joyfully expresses her folk traditions.
Laura Blackley will be joining the Invitational Blues Showcase house band to rock away your Blues on Sat December 7. Joining in the healing will be another iconic musician, Americana Rock & Country Blues guitarist Dorsey Parker. Join your host, Blues Chanteuse, Peggy Ratusz, Kelly Jones, Jay Hoots & Bob Songster as they welcome these guests for the revival.

What is The Alien Music Club? It’s a musical collective from Asheville’s Jonathan Pearlman, who operates in relative obscurity within the area’s thriving music scene. “I operate under the pseudonym AMC, because I’m painfully shy and self-deprecating. I’m no good at self-promotion, but I do make great music with my many very talented friends.”
AMC is a bit eccentric. Expect quirky, unusual, original material; jazz, rockabilly, funk, punk and general weirdness with lots of fun cover tunes. The lineup features JP (guitar/vocals), Chuck Lichtenberger (piano/vocals), Alex Travers (violin/guitar), Ryan Kijanka (bass) and Jaron Pearlman (drums/vocals).
“Weird is wonderful!” Says JP. “Let’s keep Asheville Weird!”

Yarn is an Americana, Alt-Country, Rock and Roll band founded in 2007 by Blake Christiana. Yarn evolved from its earliest days as a bar band in New York, NY to an outstanding roots band that’s shared stages with some of the biggest names in the business. You could say that Blake is the music and the music is Blake; that’s how deeply he inhabits the songs he writes and plays. You can hear him struggling with his feelings, whether it’s on a skittering country shuffle or on a mid-tempo folk ballad or a straight-ahead rocker.
Over the years, musicians have rotated in and out of Yarn, but drummer Robert Bonhomme and bassist Rick Bugel, along with Christiana, have remained the core of the band. Yarn has definitely brought people together with their music; their devoted followers call themselves the “Yarmy,” and for the last 4 years the band has hosted a three-day music festival, Yarnival, that attracted hundreds of fans to Troy, Virginia. Along the way, Yarn has gathered accolades from festivals, The Americana Music Association, landed on the Grammy ballot four times, and placed in the top five of the AMA album charts on more than one occasion.
