The Arbor Trio features Mack Johnston on mandolin, Melanie Johnston on Mountain Dulcimer and Jeff McKelvey on guitar and vocals. The group plays a wide variety of musical genres.

Apart from the parking fee, there is no other admission charge to enter the Arboretum.

A live performance by the Joe Krown Trio + 1 featuring Papa Mali is a journey through the rich musical heritage of New Orleans. The Joe Krown Trio is known for its authentic New Orleans sound, blending elements of jazz, blues, and funk. Led by the acclaimed keyboardist Joe Krown, the trio delivers a rich, groove-filled experience. Adding another layer of musical depth is Papa Mali. Known for his gritty, soulful voice and masterful guitar playing, Papa Mali infuses the trio’s music with a swampy, bluesy vibe that’s reminiscent of the bayou.

ArborEvenings @ The North Carolina Arboretum

Sip and stroll through the Arboretum’s gardens in the glow of the golden hour, all while listening to live music from a variety of local and regional artists! ArborEvenings runs Thursdays and most Fridays through September from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m.

There is no additional cost to attend ArborEvenings beyond our standard parking fee. As always, Arboretum Society members and their accompanying guests can enter for FREE (guests must be in member vehicles to receive free entry). Proceeds from ArborEvenings help support the The North Carolina Arboretum Society and further advance the Arboretum’s mission.
