Come sing with New Orleans’s premiere live karaoke band! Featuring guitar, bass, drums, and keys, we play over 150 songs from the 70s to present day. $10

What is The Alien Music Club? It’s a musical collective from Asheville’s Jonathan Pearlman, who operates in relative obscurity within the area’s thriving music scene. “I operate under the pseudonym AMC, because I’m painfully shy and self-deprecating. I’m no good at self-promotion, but I do make great music with my many very talented friends.”
AMC is a bit eccentric. Expect quirky, unusual, original material; jazz, rockabilly, funk, punk and general weirdness with lots of fun cover tunes. The lineup features JP (guitar/vocals), Chuck Lichtenberger (piano/vocals), Alex Travers (violin/guitar), Ryan Kijanka (bass) and Jaron Pearlman (drums/vocals).

Come and park your car out on the big lawn and throw a frisbee while bands and DJs play groovy tunes on our outdoor stage, bring your friends and family and your bathing suit.

This vibrant event will feature an art market with local vendors showcasing their unique creations, live music, and local food and beverages. Enjoy music from an exciting lineup, including Log’s Electric Space Whistle, Mark’s Trippy Noise Coaster, Waas Sauce, and Luciya. The festival will run from 2 PM to 9 PM and offers free entry.

American Tune: Simon, Croce & Taylor, performed by award-winning singer-songwriter Tom Glynn, celebrates the timeless music and prolific songwriting of ‘70s era Paul Simon, Jim Croce and James Taylor, along with engaging stories about the songs and the artists themselves. Relive the intimate storytelling, intricate chord changes and breathtaking melodies of these gifted artists – their work building on and transcending the more traditional folk-influenced acoustic music of the previous decade.

Tom Glynn is a John Lennon Songwriting Contest winner and a Boston Music Award nominee for Outstanding Songwriter. A number of his songs have been chosen by NSAI (Nashville Songwriters Association) for their coveted Top 40 honor, and his music has been featured on ABC, Fox, Lifetime and Showtime. Life Like Water, featuring Matt Smith on pedal steel, dobro and electric guitar is set to perform at Hawk & Hawthorne on Saturday, August 24. Richmond, Virginia’s Høly River will also perform. 

Life Like Water is the creation of multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter, David Matters. With a focus on hypnotic rhythms, heartfelt lyrics, and melodies that contain flavors of Africa, Ireland and the Middle East, the music of this eclectic ensemble is sure to uplift and inspire.

Høly River was founded by multi-instrumentalists Laney Sullivan and Jameson Price. Fusing together the pulse of drone pop, worldly instrumentation, this experimental music would best be described as a landscape, as a biome all its own. This musical phenomenon has come to be known as “Earth folk,” a type of music inspired thematically by the natural environment: flora, fauna, soil, stars, and the human experience.

Jon Stickley Trio is a genre-defying and cinematic instrumental trio, who’s deep grooves, innovative flatpicking, and sultry-spacy violin moves the listener’s head, heart, and feet. A live performance by the Joe Krown Trio + 1 featuring Papa Mali is a journey through the rich musical heritage of New Orleans. The Joe Krown Trio is known for its authentic New Orleans sound, blending elements of jazz, blues, and funk. Led by the acclaimed keyboardist Joe Krown, the trio delivers a rich, groove-filled experience. Adding another layer of musical depth is Papa Mali.
