Come check out our Rock Academy bands with performers ranging in age from elementary school thru high school as they perform“Decades of Hits” from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. GTTM has served the Asheville Community for over 16 years and has helped hundreds of WNC Students discover the joy of music by raising more than $275,000 providing for scholarships to fund private music lessons, Rock Academy band lessons, summer camps, and musical instruments.
We are excited to announce that renowned keyboardist Adam Holzman, an innovator in jazz, classic rock, and progressive rock keyboards will perform a synthesizer and piano concert at Static Age Records. Doors will open at 7 p.m. and the show will begin at 8 p.m. For the performance, Holzman will create all sequences and loops in real-time analog without the assistance of a laptop. When asked to describe the concert, Holzman stated, “It will be sort of Tangerine Dream meets Keith Jarrett.”

Asheville based BrassFunkRock band Empire Strikes Brass has a lot to say with a big sound. Chock-full of serious groove from a thumping rhythm section highlighted by lush horn arrangements played by a thick horn section, the band’s compositional roots as well as it’s creative and collaborative soul contribute lots of depth in their original tunes and covers that speak volumes to ESB’s evolution.
Founded in 2012, ESB has grown from a party band of friends playing New Orleans-originated or inspired second-line and funk tunes with elements of rock and jam. Now, it consists of a collective of players, singers, songwriters, and producers who have found an original sound that fuses their individual musical influences with fresh ideas while still holding true to their foundation.

A born entertainer and a multi instrumentalist, Will Hartz has been putting on a show for all to see before he could speak. With Appalachian soul pouring through his fingertips, Will is best known for his ability to grab the attention of any and all audiences with his refined stylistic performances. Raised in a rural farming town south of Asheville, you can almost hear the mountain thunder and sweet streams rolling through his southern drawl.

Bringing the soul from Greensboro, North Carolina, Ranford Almond is a young singer/songwriter and troubadour that has begun to make his mark across the Southeast. Raspy fresh vocals meet the Appalachian strings of Ranford’s acoustic guitar, reminiscent of John Prine, and Towns Van Zandt with his own unique stamp. Furthermore, his talent extends far beyond composition and strumming, as he is a warrior on the electric as well.

While stuck at individual musical crossroads, Ciaran, Jonathan, and Ben met at an open mic in downtown Asheville in 2021 and immediately regained their joy and inspiration to write and perform music now as a band. Ashes & Arrows write their songs in an authentically original form, whilst bringing a mesmerizing flare with strong 3-part harmonies. This trio recently appeared on America’s Got Talent!

Host of the roots music history podcast, American Songcatcher, Nicholas Edward Williams is a multi-instrumentalist and storyteller who is dedicated to “playing it forward” by preserving the songs, stories, artists and styles that have shaped our country: Ragtime, Piedmont Blues, Early Country, Traditional Folk and Old-Time.
Hannah Kaminer is an Asheville, North Carolina-based artist who is known for her poignant songwriting, clear voice, and often comedic stage presence. Raised in small towns in Western North Carolina, Kaminer writes songs about love, loss, and home, fusing echoes of Appalachian and country traditions with wistful, Americana-style songwriting.
Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Transylvania county chapter of JuniorAppalachian Musicians (JAM,) a nonprofit whose mission is ” to provide communities with the tools and support they need to teach children to play and dance to traditional old time and bluegrass music” and “.. [to give children] the opportunity to experience community through the joy of participating in traditional mountain music together.”
