The Greenliners are an Asheville-based progressive bluegrass ensemble featuring Richard Barrett (guitar & vocals), Jackson Dulaney (dobro), Christian Ferri (upright bass), Jay Franck (mandolin & vocals), and Ben Saylor (banjo & vocals); all veterans of the Western North Carolina acoustic music scene. Brunch starts at 11am — with lively bluegrass tunes courtesy of Asheville’s own Shady Grove String Band from 12-3pm. Shady Grove Stringband features a rotating cast of local pickers, anchored by Didi Wildrover on Guitar and Vocals. The City of Hope located in Ntagacha, an extremely impoverished Tanzanian community close to the Kenyan border, rescues children from situations of abuse, child marriage, female genital mutilation, hunger, and disease.
The event will include live African music by the magnificent local musician, Adama Dembele and his trio, from 4:30pm to 5:15pm. The Well Drinkers are a progressive, original bluegrass and Americana band based out of Western North Carolina, whose range extends to festivals and venues across the Southeast.
Since the band’s creation in 2019, the group has striven to combine traditional roots of their Appalachian region with progressive instrumentation, songwriting, and subject matter. Ethan Heller is a psychedelic rock and funk guitarist/vocalist best known from The Snozzberries. The Snozzberries are a hi-energy psychedelic rock band based in Asheville, NC.
