The Hypos are an Asheville, NC band built around the collaboration of veteran songwriters Greg Cartwright and Scott McMicken. Their eponymous debut album reveals a playful blend of sounds and styles that is wonderfully hard to categorize but easy to enjoy. Joined by Evan Martin on drums, Kevin Williams on bass and Krista Wroten on violin, the Hypos world is a lush landscape of bouncing rhythms and Earthy acoustics.

Kashus Culpepper w/ Brendan Walter
26-year-old Navy veteran Kashus Culpepper was born and raised in Alexander City, Alabama where he grew up singing in church and discovered the beauty of music of all genres. With influences ranging from Stevie Wonder and Howlin’ Wolf to Chris Stapleton and Ray LaMontagne, Kashus has developed his own unique singing style that has inspired crowds throughout Alabama and the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Now based in Nashville, he has written some amazing songs that remain rooted in country, but reflect the wide range of music and artistry that have influenced him throughout his life.

Joyce Manor is a band who have never relied on gimmicks. Since forming in Torrance, California, in 2008, the band—vocalist/guitarist Barry Johnson, bassist Matt Ebert and guitarist Chase Knobbe—have built-up a feverish fanbase by writing catchy, pop-punk songs that seem straight-forward on the surface but teeming with carefully crafted nuances upon multiple listens.
Liquid Mike inhabits a sweet spot in the musical pantheon: catchy, well- crafted guitar and vocal hooks that will snag any fan of power-pop/pop rock.

Yellgnatz is a producer and DJ based in Atlanta, Georgia. Since late 2020, he has been paving his own lane in psychedelic bass music.

Of course, as bands become more prominent so, too, does the tendency of the industry to try to classify and define them, and Dangermuffin is no exception. Tagged every style from jamband and southern rock to acoustic folk and bluegrass, the band has consistently shattered all categorizations and defied pigeonholing. While “Roots-Rock Americana” might be the most fitting and recurring label for the band, no designation perfectly characterizes Dangermuffin and its sound.

Throughout all the years and lineup changes, this core trio has always been the foundation. We’ve dusted off our original material and learned a number of great new covers to fit the new format. Now the band is returning to old haunts and new venues alike to give crowds a taste of old-school Asheville with a new guitar-led sensibility.
