This evening with Ivy Eld, her band, and other special musical guests is sure to be a heart-expanding and soul-nourishing show for listeners. It will be a cross-cultural musical experience that invites us all to get curious about our own ancestral roots. At this show, Ivy and her band will play some folk rock tunes from her debut album. She is also delighted to host and perform with some wonderful guest artists who hail from a variety of cultural identities and heritages–Eastern Band Cherokee, Mexican/Aztec, African American, Scandinavian, Celtic, and more. This evening will be about celebrating our diversity, cherishing our shared humanity and commonalities, and experiencing the healing that can come from music, stories, and honest reflection and connection.

We came together to play and enjoy sharing our music. Each member has an extensive musical history and a true love of performing traditional mountain music. 

Dolly Roger is an acoustic singer-songwriter duo from Charlotte, North Carolina. Their sound has been described as 70s folk-rock meets dreamy bedroom-pop with a bit of 90s influence.

Americana Soul, Singer-songwriter & guitarist, Whitney Mongé learned to capture the power of authenticity while honing her skills as a street performer. Her rich and sultry voice, accompanied by a raspy break at the edges, has drawn comparisons to esteemed artists like Brittany Howard and Lenny Kravitz. Mongé’s bluesy, percussive guitar style is unique in it’s own right, and she mentions John Mayer and Dave Matthews as influences in her musicianship.

On Friday, Aug. 18, Nashville-based folk artist Molly Parden will play an intimate show at Citizen Vinyl.

State Park Ranger is an Asheville, NC queer Grunge Folk band. Willow Rhinehart reinvents the classic southern sound with fresh pedal steel, ambient synths, large choir-like harmonies, folk guitar, and raw/abstract lyrics.

Southern Pine is the moniker of songwriter and multi instrumentalist, Zack Kardon. Kardon’s songs look inward. They don’t seek to describe or explain but simply hover- bottling the essence of a feeling.
