Burnpile is Burial Beer Co.’s premier Beer and Music Festival. Hosted at Burial’s Forestry Camp facility, attendees enjoy a full-day concert alongside a tasting experience from a diverse lineup of 50+ of the best breweries in the country.
Each year, we invite some of the finest breweries across the globe to join us. Our guest list represents long-lasting industry friendships and producers who have blown us away with their offerings. We’re also proud to offer an exciting list of newcomers to join the party.
This year, we’re leaning into that Americana thang. Enjoy live performances by Deer Tick, S.G. Goodman, and MJ Lenderman.

Burial operates four taprooms across the state of North Carolina: the OG South Slope Taproom and Forestry Camp facility in Asheville, the Charlotte House of Relics and the Raleigh Exhibit in downtown DTR. Sisters Whitney & Caroline Miller grew up in a home where playing the piano was a daily requirement. Daily requirements turned to passion as they hit the streets to street busk. After years of busking, The Maggie Valley Band was officially formed and decided to take it inside-to venues.

Dave Brubeck, Art Blakey and George Benson are legends in the jazz world, but they’re not exactly household names to the typical high school student. It’s safe to say Wilson Vest, Gabe Glasser and Espen Raustol are not typical high school students. The trio of 18-year-old seniors, known as Altamont Jazz Project, have played regularly and return now for their third show at White Horse Black Mountain. UPDATE: Mellissa is on maternity leave but Ryan will be joined on percussion by the uber talented Evan Martin. Melissa Hyman plays cello, Ryan Furstenberg plays guitar and banjo, and both sing in “voices that sound like they were made for one another” (Bill DeYoung, Connect Savannah). But whatever you might assume based on their gorgeous vocal blend and heartfelt lyrics, this ain’t your basic folk duo.
