Stop in for the pub’s long running Traditional Irish Session each Sunday afternoon beginning around 3:30pm. Many talented local musicians come from WNC to jam away into the night – all on our pub stage! Sunday is a perfect day to enjoy a pint or afternoon Irish coffee! Slaínte!

Jack Of The Wood is still a downtown hot spot for food, brews and drink since 1997 and founders Joan and Joe Eckert who still own it, have maintained the original lively English and Irish vibe. The old-time mountain and Irish music jams continue, including a hot bluegrass jam Thursdays and brunch every Sunday. Blue Monday at the Joint next door started as a solo Blues show with Mr Jimmy and has evolved into a Jam Session of sorts. Jimmy is joined with different musical cohorts every week.
