Nobody’s Darling String Band is a group of five ladies who are seasoned Old Time musicians, that play lively Mountain Music every Saturday from 4 to 6 at Jack of the Wood. A fiddle, guitars, standup bass and banjo uke round out this engaging and energetic group, playing in the traditional style of Appalachian roots music.

Lazybirds is a classic American roots band from the mountains of North Carolina. What is The Alien Music Club? It’s a musical collective from Asheville’s Jonathan Pearlman, who operates in relative obscurity within the area’s thriving music scene. “I operate under the pseudonym AMC, because I’m painfully shy and self-deprecating. I’m no good at self-promotion, but I do make great music with my many very talented friends.”
AMC is a bit eccentric. Expect quirky, unusual, original material; jazz, rockabilly, funk, punk and general weirdness with lots of fun cover tunes. The lineup features JP (guitar/vocals), Chuck Lichtenberger (piano/vocals), Alex Travers (violin/guitar), Ryan Kijanka (bass) and Jaron Pearlman (drums/vocals).
