Strings of Hope is a free concert with a suggested ticket donation of $10 to directly benefit the Builders Association of the Blue Ridge Mountains, supporting local builders, suppliers, and industry professionals impacted by Hurricane Helene.
Food and beverages will be available onsite for purchase. This is a kid-friendly event so we plan to have a couple of activities to help keep them entertained.

Nobody’s Darling String Band is a group of five ladies who are seasoned Old Time musicians, that play lively Mountain Music every Saturday from 4 to 6 at Jack of the Wood. A fiddle, guitars, standup bass and banjo uke round out this engaging and energetic group, playing in the traditional style of Appalachian roots music.

Jack Of The Wood is still a downtown hot spot for food, brews and drink since 1997 and founders Joan and Joe Eckert who still own it, have maintained the original lively English and Irish vibe. The old-time mountain and Irish music jams continue, including a hot bluegrass jam Thursdays and brunch every Sunday.
