Come check out our Rock Academy bands with performers ranging in age from elementary school thru high school as they perform“Decades of Hits” from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. GTTM has served the Asheville Community for over 16 years and has helped hundreds of WNC Students discover the joy of music by raising more than $275,000 providing for scholarships to fund private music lessons, Rock Academy band lessons, summer camps, and musical instruments.

We are excited to announce that renowned keyboardist Adam Holzman, an innovator in jazz, classic rock, and progressive rock keyboards will perform  a synthesizer and piano concert at Static Age Records. Doors will open at 7 p.m. and the show will begin at 8 p.m. For the performance, Holzman will create all sequences and loops in real-time analog without the assistance of a laptop.  When asked to describe the concert, Holzman stated, “It will be sort of Tangerine Dream meets Keith Jarrett.”

Come enjoy an evening of high energy music from 2 of Asheville’s favorite local bands Hustle Souls & Krave Amiko.

Hustle Souls is an Asheville based band who blend Retro-Soul, New Orleans Brass Music and Americana. American Blues Scene called Hustle Souls a “generation-jumping mashup of new school second line funk with old school vintage soul.” Overflowing with energy and spontaneity; roaring B3 organ and jubilant brass are balanced with 3-part vocal harmony and a lust for songwriting.

Krave Amiko is a genre-blending 5 piece band from Asheville that focuses on lyrical storytelling, compelling melodies, and catchy choruses. Started in 2019 by songwriter Robert Walsh and singer Stephanie Barcelona, their energetic live shows turn even casual listeners into life-long fans.

A born entertainer and a multi instrumentalist, Will Hartz has been putting on a show for all to see before he could speak. With Appalachian soul pouring through his fingertips, Will is best known for his ability to grab the attention of any and all audiences with his refined stylistic performances. Raised in a rural farming town south of Asheville, you can almost hear the mountain thunder and sweet streams rolling through his southern drawl.

Bringing the soul from Greensboro, North Carolina, Ranford Almond is a young singer/songwriter and troubadour that has begun to make his mark across the Southeast. Saylor Brothers are a bluegrass/jam trio that had it’s genesis in the John Hartford Jam which occurred in Asheville from 2014-2020. Along the way of hosting this jam, brothers Will & Ben Saylor (banjo/guitar) collaborated with nearly every picker in the Asheville bluegrass scene, catching nationally touring players in town while off tour, and building chemistry & connections with many of the best pickers in town. Adding frequent collaborator Greg Stiglets on bass in 2021 and officially forming a trio, the band performs originals, jammy trads & covers, (and of course the odd Hartford tune or two) at their high energy shows.

Host of the roots music history podcast, American Songcatcher, Nicholas Edward Williams is a multi-instrumentalist and storyteller who is dedicated to “playing it forward” by preserving the songs, stories, artists and styles that have shaped our country: Ragtime, Piedmont Blues, Early Country, Traditional Folk and Old-Time.

Hannah Kaminer is an Asheville, North Carolina-based artist who is known for her poignant songwriting, clear voice, and often comedic stage presence. Raised in small towns in Western North Carolina, Kaminer writes songs about love, loss, and home, fusing echoes of Appalachian and country traditions with wistful, Americana-style songwriting.

Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Transylvania county chapter of JuniorAppalachian Musicians (JAM,) a nonprofit whose mission is ” to provide communities with the tools and support they need to teach children to play and dance to traditional old time and bluegrass music” and “.. [to give children] the opportunity to experience community through the joy of participating in traditional mountain music together.”

Americana Soul singer-songwriter & guitarist, Whitney Mongé built her 16 year music career starting as a prolific street performer in Seattle, WA, working her way to major stages around the world with her relatable songwriting, powerhouse vocals and rhythmic blues guitar playing.

Caged Affair is an alternative rock band based out of Asheville NC.  Their neo grunge-punk sound has drawn parallels to Queens of the Stone Age, Nirvana and Royal Blood among others. Hungry for something beyond the typical, they formed Caged Affair. Armed with a name offensive to some, enigmatic to others and a love of 90’s pop-punk rock, they set out to create music blending Tyler’s demanding baselines, Harley’s electric riffs and Cody’s frantic drumming.

KATIE OATES knows how to sing. She’s been singing for as long as she can remember. The daughter of a preacher, she belted hymns from her crib as a toddler to wake up her parents. As a singer/songwriter whose song styles veer into blues, jazz, gospel, and music theatre with lyrics that hearken back to 20th century jazz standards.

OWEN WALSH has been telling stories and performing music his entire life. His years of formal violin and classical guitar training, zest for informal improvisation, and love of folk-lore storytelling combine to create a unique blend of musical expression.

The Dan Davis Group is a jazz organ trio based in the triangle area of N.C. The band plays a variety of music styles including jazz, R&B, Latin, funk, blues, and NOLA. Unfortunately Widespread Panic has canceled their show in Asheville this weekend – fortunately, I’m still playing what was a pre-show and I’ve added the incredible Jeff Sipe on drums, The Keith Allen (The Mantras) on guitar & Jeremy Shaw on bass for what will be a fun afternoon of jams.

Josh Daniel has been a fixture in the vibrant “Queen City” music scene for years, tirelessly refining his skills and emerging as a regional tour de force.
