Lazybirds is a classic American roots band from the mountains of North Carolina. Specializing in good time music that is just about impossible not to move to, there is also a depth to the band that faithful fans have treasured over the years. According to the legendary Doc Watson, “Lazybirds play a good variety of blues, jazz, and that good old ragtime sound, and you will hear the flavor of that in anything they play.”

Live Music: Get ready for an incredible, high-energy performance by Das OomPapas of Marion, NC. These local legends know how to get the party started and keep the spirit alive with their polka and festival tunes.
Nobody’s Darling String Band is a group of five ladies who are seasoned Old Time musicians, that play lively Mountain Music every Saturday from 4 to 6 at Jack of the Wood. A fiddle, guitars, standup bass and banjo uke round out this engaging and energetic group, playing in the traditional style of Appalachian roots music.
Jack Of The Wood is still a downtown hot spot for food, brews and drink since 1997 and founders Joan and Joe Eckert who still own it, have maintained the original lively English and Irish vibe. The old-time mountain and Irish music jams continue, including a hot bluegrass jam Thursdays and brunch every Sunday. Nate Smith, a modern day legend on the drums, will be joined by Jason Lindner and Tim Lefabvre in the High Gravity Room. Nate Smith is a drummer, composer, & producer from Chesapeake, Virginia. His visceral, instinctive, and deep-rooted style of drumming has led to three GRAMMY® nominations and work with esteemed artists, including: Pat Metheny, Dave Holland, Brittany Howard, Van Hunt, The Fearless Flyers, Norah Jones, and Somi. Smith fuses his original compositions with an eclectic mix of music, including everything from jazz to R&B to hip-hop to pop.
King Garbage is the result of a 16-year friendship and collaboration between Zach Cooper and Vic Dimotsis. As Grammy- Nominated Producers, KG channel classic soul music through a funky lens on their acclaimed debut album Make it Sweat and production collaborations with The Weeknd, SZA, Travis Scott, Ellie Goulding, Ricky Reed, and Jon Batiste.
