Karaoke and Zero Proof Alternative Tuesday with Non alcoholic beverages and cannibas infused drinks. There will also be a Mexican food truck and alcoholic beverages available.
Planefolk is the solo project of Asheville native Kevin Smith. Influences begin with the Appalachian sounds of bluegrass and old time. Then travels on with the rawness of rock and roll infused with heavy doses of classic country. All original songs inspired by songwriters such as Prine, Nelson, Springsteen and Cash. Add all these ingredients together into a well seasoned cast iron pan and slow simmer to create a taste of the uniquely Southern American stew that is Planefolk.
This innovative recital project weaves together pieces for solo violin and violin/electronics by J.S. Bach and composers of other eras to form a program with dramatic arc, flow, and scope. Event Details and Tickets

Internationally recognized Sicilian-American singer, Michela Musolino (vocals, tamburello) and Italian-born country music artist Lorenzo Piccone renowned for his deep melodies and sentimental lyrics (guitar, mandolin, and other stringed instruments) will perform a duo concert of traditional Sicilian music at the Kittredge Arts Center on Tuesday September 17. The dynamic band Garcia Peoples, featuring guitarists and vocalists Tom Malach and Danny Arakaki, drummer Cesar Arakaki, bassists Andy Cush and Derek Spaldo, and keyboardist P.G. Six., was formed in Rutherford, New Jersey. The group takes inspiration from the improvisational and psychedelic jam bands of the 1960s. With a stash of live recordings accumulating at the Live Music Archive, Garcia Peoples’ music is very much a living entity.
A Nashville institution in the making, Country Westerns infuse punk rock chutzpah with a classic rock sheen, yielding a sound that’s simultaneously fresh and reminiscent of all the LPs you used to “borrow” from your cool uncle. Work harder, not smarter: classically bad advice, but when it works, it works. Country Westerns are a force, punk rock lifers playing rock music with hearted-sleeves and punched-guts. Loud and furious but with a nuance that belies their delicate and varied pedigrees.
Asheville has a lot of Dead and Phish cover bands but no one representing the 90s grunge scene. Hoping this scratches an itch.

Alex Travers – Currently living and working in his adopted hometown of Asheville, NC, violinist Alex Travers spends most of his time writing and recording in the studio, teaching at the Asheville Music Academy, or busking downtown.
After receiving an undergraduate degree in violin performance from Appalachian State University, he spent several years performing as an orchestra and baroque musician before breaking outside the classical realm. Since 2015 he’s been heavily involved with a multitude of local and national projects as a collaborative artist and performer. His love of Bach, composition and improvisation is apparent in his use of guitar pedals and loop-stations, which he utilizes with the violin for live performances.

Jackson Grimm marries folk pop melodies with the lonesome sound of traditional Appalachian music. In a region with a strong music culture, it is no surprise that Grimm’s songwriting is representative of his musical birthplace: Asheville, NC. The core of the band continues to play as the One Stringband. While each of the band members demonstrate years of proficiency on their instruments, what sets this ensemble apart from the others are the vocal harmonies and the band dynamics. Audiences can tell when bands have been playing together for years and this group shows that 10-fold.
