Greg Mendez is an American indie rock musician from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His use of sparse instrumentation—which range from spatial synthesizers to finger-picked guitar montages—emphasizes the narratives and elevates them to the forefront of each composition.
Tombstone Poetry is a 5-piece band hailing from Canton, North Carolina. An eclectic mix of each members’ inspirations – Tombstone fuses Shoegaze, Post-Rock, Folk Rock and more.

The Paper Crowns’ Spiro and Nicole are one of the premier duos on the Southeast music scene. They have returned to their jam and psychedelic roots with their full on electric ensemble – The Paper Crowns Electric Band. The Nashville trio consists of past members from indie outfits The Weight and Silver Jews, and, as their name suggests, have a raw country sound. Released by Fat Possum Records in 2020, their self-titled debut album was praised by Pitchfork for being “ragged in all the right places” and landed a spot on the publication’s ‘35 Best Rock Albums of the Year’ list.
Forged in the mountains of Boone, RUGG is a heavy psychedelic trio that deals in the visceral and raw. They blend the ideas of past and present heroes with their own unique flavor of psych-rock to create a sound that’s just as engaging as it is entrancing.

Every generation or so a young bluesman bursts onto the scene. Someone who sends a jolt through blues lovers. Someone who has mastered the craft for sure, but who also has the blues deep down in his heart and soul.
At the age of 28, bluesman Jontavious Willis may be the one.
“That’s my Wonderboy, the Wunderkind,” Taj Mahal said after inviting Jontavious to play on stage in 2015. “He’s a great new voice of the twenty-first century in the acoustic blues. I just love the way he plays.”
Jontavious Willis is resolved in his mission: to reinvigorate today’s Blues with the spirit of the past. Inspired by a time when the Blues were plentiful and rhythm reigned supreme, Jontavious leverages his unique sound—a synthesis of his Georgia heritage and reverence for traditional Blues—to get the world dancing again. A Grammy-nominated musician and songwriter, Jontavious performs original, toe-tapping tunes in the style of Delta, Piedmont, Texas, and Gospel Blues. Dynamic vocals, technical prowess, and an abundance of Southern charm keep Jontavious sending jolts of vitality through the Blues community.

Twin brothers, Zach and Charles Weinert, spent many years working on separate musical projects, but in 2015, they relented to the inevita- ble and joined forces to create MZG. Shorthand for “monozygotic” (the scientific term describing identical twins), the name MZG describes the unique bond these two share. These self taught musicians and producers deliver bass driven, hip-hop influenced electronica while sharing a chemistry on stage that is natural and infectious.

Flannel Fest has been a hit at our Boone location, and we are eager to extend this excitement to Mills River on March 9th from 11-10 pm. The event is free and will feature an exciting line-up of music, including Seth & Sara from 12-2 pm, Beer & Loathing from 2-4 pm, and Bradley Bacci Band from 4-6 pm. These bands specialize in bluegrass, country-rock, and easy-listening genres.
In addition to music, we have tons of specialty games in store for the whole family such as ax-throwing, 2-man cross cutting, and we will also be debuting our new kids play area. babybaby_explores is a pseudo concept, garage-pop, art-rock project made of three fweaky BFFS from the ghost town clam chowder suburbia Warwick, RI. Utilizing obsolete and low-tech gear, the band makes simple structured danceable songs that pay homage to: musique concrète, European underground synth punk of the late 70’s through the 80’s, anthem music, dada, and the Providence DIY & noise scene.

Katie Pruitt sets her lived-in lyricism to a folk-leaning sound informed by her love for the more experimental edges of Indie-rock, stacking her songs with plenty of propulsive grooves and overdriven guitars. Pruitt tackles human topics such as religion, mental health, and contemporary love songs with a modern twist. Her passionate delivery and powerful message are the reason her name has graced the bills of festivals such as Americana, 420 Fest, Pilgrimage, and sold out shows across the US and internationally.
California-reared singer-songwriter Jack Van Cleaf writes determined and delicate songs with poetic slant and confessional warmth. In his songs, folk imagination dresses in cinematic production, evoking the spacious and sparse verses of Nathaniel Rateliff and Gregory Alan Isakov. His music also echoes his heroes: a directness borrowed from Kris Kristofferson and lucid spirituality reminiscent of Cohen.

Kieran and Rayna first met, fittingly, at San Francisco’s celebrated Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival. Fans of either artist will recognize the musical kindred-spiritedness in their restrained and roots-oriented approach to both songs and arrangements.
Kieran Kane’s seminal work in The O’Kanes and Kane Welch Kaplin, laid the foundation for the contemporary world of Americana music. A successful solo artist, collaborator, and songwriter (with songs recorded by Alan Jackson, John Prine, Emmylou Harris, and many more), Kieran is a musician’s musician: his playing is always understated, always groove-oriented, and always serving the song.
If Rayna Gellert seems a preternaturally gifted songwriter, it’s because she’s seen farther into the old songs than most. Growing up in a musical family, she turned to Appalachian old-time music at a young age, becoming a prodigious fiddler and leading a new revival of American stringband music through her work with the acclaimed roots band Uncle Earl. An in-demand collaborator, she has toured and recorded with artists such as Scott Miller, Abigail Washburn, Toubab Krewe, and Robyn Hitchcock.
Christina Chandler is a Memphis-born music machine that has been writing, playing, performing, booking, and jamming since her earliest memories. She flows in and out of folk, soul, Americana and rock n roll, smoothing it all together with a rich, buttery voice, nimble fingers on a red Telecaster Thin Line, and a tambourine on her boot.
