Every month, we host a night of live music that echoes across the riverbanks and through the live airwaves of Asheville FM. This December, we welcome Thomas Kozak, a locally-based singer-songwriter known for his poetic lyricism and captivating guitar mastery.

Boukou Groove is a New Orleans funk, soul, and jam band composed of veteran-vocalist/keyboardist/Moog Bass, Donnie Sundal and Traylin Gaston. Sundal’s wailing keyboards and “blue-eyed soul” voice have lit up audiences around the world.
Inspired by the music of the Pat Metheny Group, Steely Dan, George Winston, and Kansas, the Asheville-based, Robert Thomas Band has a unique style that defies a specific genre. Audiences will appreciate the smooth and seamless crossover effect the music takes, incorporating jazz, new age, prog rock, and Celtic styles.

Brody’s back at the Cork & Keg playing Country Christmas Music for people who don’t like Christmas. James Mapley-Brittle (GRRL) and Nick Sanborn (Made of Oak, Sylvan Esso) make and spin very different music but often end up playing the same parties, thanks to the eclecticism of the North Carolina dance scene. After a conversation they had one day surrounding a shared obsession with peak-hour club music, Sanborn wondered about a collaboration.

It has taken many months and many talented minds in and around Burial to get here, but we now have shows at our Buxton Avenue music venue in Asheville’s South Slope. The normal bluegrass jam that is scheduled for December 24th will be hosted by the Mistletones, an a cappella vocal trio. They will be singing songs of the season. The group features Krista Tortora, Paula Hanke and Cynthia McDermott. They will be singing from 4:30 to 5:30 on Christmas Eve. Jam to follow. Zillacoah is open to all ages on Sundays.

Mike Holmes, aka Nostalgianoid, is a black queer multidisciplinary artist from Asheville, NC. Music has been a passion for them for as long as they can remember, and for more than half of their life, played in various projects ranging across genres along with creating their own music through different mediums.
Ideal Self is the captivating brainchild of Frances and Lee X. Davis. The duo’s songwriting showcases rich and intricate electronic arrangements, propelled by driving synthesizers and pulsating drum machines. Frances’ ethereal vocals add a mesmerizing touch.
