Nobody’s Darling String Band is a group of five ladies who are seasoned Old Time musicians, that play lively Mountain Music every Saturday from 4 to 6 at Jack of the Wood. A fiddle, guitars, standup bass and banjo uke round out this engaging and energetic group, playing in the traditional style of Appalachian roots music.

The Saylor Brothers are a bluegrass fusion group evolved out of the tight knit bluegrass-jam community in Asheville NC. Comprised of Brothers Will and Ben Saylor, with Greg Stiglets on bass, the group has a knack for both ripping classic bluegrass, crooning country classics, and improvising extended jams on any song they see fit.

The group’s sounds blends Rock, Jazz, Gospel, Country and Bluegrass with acoustic and electric instruments which really helps set off their unique and close vocal harmonies.

An in the round singer-songwriter style show that features artists from all over WNC, with a spotlight on songwriting and original music and a touch of tasteful collaboration. The Western Carolina Writers organizers have graciously offered to donate 100% of net ticket proceeds directly to BeLoved Asheville and the AVL Musician Relief Fund, both of which are linked above. MR JIMMY is the solo project of Blues guitarist & vocalist Jim “Ang” Anderson, who has fronted The Chicago Kingsnakes for the past 35 years. Blue Monday at the Joint next door started as a solo Blues show with Mr Jimmy and has evolved into a Jam Session of sorts. Jimmy is joined with different musical cohorts every week.
