KATIE OATES knows how to sing. She’s been singing for as long as she can remember. The daughter of a preacher, she belted hymns from her crib as a toddler to wake up her parents. As a singer/songwriter whose song styles veer into blues, jazz, gospel, and music theatre with lyrics that hearken back to 20th century jazz standards.

OWEN WALSH has been telling stories and performing music his entire life. His years of formal violin and classical guitar training, zest for informal improvisation, and love of folk-lore storytelling combine to create a unique blend of musical expression.

Flatland Cavalry is breaking out into a gallop. After years of hot trotting across their native Texas, the country outfit is primed for a breakout with the release of their third full-length album, the sonically sprawling and wistfully written Welcome to Countryland. An energetic blend of Country-Folk-Americana. Easy on the ears, Heavy on the heart.

From hosting nationally-touring headliners to up-and-coming acts on indoor and outdoor stages, Salvage Station is consistently voted Asheville’s BEST live music venue. For those looking for an authentic Asheville experience that includes incredible live music, an extensive local & regional tap selection, plus a full bar and award winning food trucks, Salvage Station is a MUST DO!
