Join us for RADfest 1.0 for a weekend of art, resilience, and community as we celebrate the soft reopening of Asheville’s River Arts District.

During the soft opening, visit open studios and galleries along Roberts St, Artful Way, Clingman Ave, and upper Depot St. Shop directly from displaced RAD artists set up in the Pinegate Renewables parking lot at 130 Roberts St. The event will feature food trucks and live music as we come together to rebuild and revitalize our beloved River Arts District.

Purple is an instrumental quartet playing tunes from the pop, jazz, soul, and funk idioms. Featuring JC Mears, Matt Pike, Jacob Bruner & Spiro Nicolopoulos.

A product of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Chris’ songs utilize a unique brand of folk-rock to tell tales of starry-eyed troubadours and working-class romantics. Holding a sense of hope and a sense of sorrow, Chris’ songs often bounce between a sniffle and a hiccup.

Stop in for the pub’s long running Traditional Irish Session each Sunday afternoon beginning around 3:30pm. Many talented local musicians come from WNC to jam away into the night – all on our pub stage! Sunday is a perfect day to enjoy a pint or afternoon Irish coffee! Slaínte!

Jack Of The Wood is still a downtown hot spot for food, brews and drink since 1997 and founders Joan and Joe Eckert who still own it, have maintained the original lively English and Irish vibe. The old-time mountain and Irish music jams continue, including a hot bluegrass jam Thursdays and brunch every Sunday. We are going to keep our Strictly Bluegrass Jam with Host Branson Raines going. Every Monday night at 7:00 p.m. at the historic Methodist Church in the Walnut Community. The address is 15 Barnard Road, Marshall, NC. All Bluegrass lovers, listeners, pickers are welcome to join us to play, sing and fellowship. The strongest thing we will have to drink is Coffee! The Acoustic Jam will continue on Thursday nights at 7:00 p.m. at the Church as well. Calvin Parham and Logan Clark will host the Jam.

MR JIMMY is the solo project of Blues guitarist & vocalist Jim “Ang” Anderson, who has fronted The Chicago Kingsnakes for the past 35 years. Blue Monday at the Joint next door started as a solo Blues show with Mr Jimmy and has evolved into a Jam Session of sorts. Jimmy is joined with different musical cohorts every week.
