WNC Writers Hurricane Relief Show (benefitting BeLoved Asheville + AVL Musicians Relief Fund)
An in the round singer-songwriter style show that features artists from all over WNC, with a spotlight on songwriting and original music and a touch of tasteful collaboration. The Western Carolina Writers organizers have graciously offered to donate 100% of net ticket proceeds directly to BeLoved Asheville and the AVL Musician Relief Fund, both of which are linked above. The Musicians in the Round is an open mic/in the round that takes place at Catawba Brewing Tasting Room on the South Slope in Asheville, NC. Our first round was on March 9th, 2015 and they just keep getting better.
We are lifting hearts and souls with a free jazz jam at Turgua Brewing in Fairview this coming Monday! Come join us! Quinn Sternberg on bass, Jeff Rudolph on drums, and Jonathan Pearlman (JP) on guitar, plus some special guests!
MR JIMMY is the solo project of Blues guitarist & vocalist Jim “Ang” Anderson, who has fronted The Chicago Kingsnakes for the past 35 years. Blue Monday at the Joint next door started as a solo Blues show with Mr Jimmy and has evolved into a Jam Session of sorts. Jimmy is joined with different musical cohorts every week.
