The band was conceived in Boone, NC and quickly gained a cult following for their wildly entertaining and “over the top” stage antics. In 2006, Booty Band, as fans affectionately nicknamed the group, moved to Asheville, North Carolina, and have since become the poster child for the Asheville Music scene.

Sexbruise? is a satirical pop band from Charleston, SC that combines elements of improvisation, electronic music, poppy hooks, and audience participation to create an unforgettable live experience.

Eulogy Presents: Xiu Xiu with Secret Shame
Nov 4 @ 7:00 pm – 11:45 pm

Xiu Xiu – The project of Jamie Stewart and Angela Seo, Xiu Xiu confronts difficult emotions with music ranging from harsh to tender. Using an intense mix of post-punk, synth pop, folk, Asian percussion music, experimental music, noise, modern composition, and more, the group explores the complexities of love, sex, death, and injustice. Over the years, the band’s music spanned the rousing synth pop of 2012’s Always to the cathartic darkness of 2019’s Girl with a Basket of Fruit.

Secret Shame is no stranger to the Burial realm, as they crushed a killer set at Burnpile 2022. They refuse to limit their sound to a single genre but instead pull from a wide range of influences including post-punk, deathrock, shoegaze, and dream-pop.

$29.76 The price you’ll pay. No surprises later. Event Information and Tickets

None shall perish. The Eulogy has been written. It has taken many months and many talented minds in and around Burial to get here, but this week we begin shows at our Buxton Avenue music venue in Asheville’s South Slope. Affectionately named, ‘Eulogy’, the space is located in the building adjacent to our original taproom, above the current Bottle Shop. Check out more of our offerings at eulogyavl.com
