Join friends to celebrate Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy’s 50th year conserving land and water in the Appalachian Mountains – at Appalachia Day on Saturday, Oct. 12 at Hickory Nut Gap Farm in Fairview, NC.
Come celebrate what you love about our mountain home. There will be food trucks on site, live music, a craft village market, a raffle and more farm fun for the whole family! Appalachia Day invites attendees to immerse themselves in the essence of Appalachia with an array of engaging activities. You can take the kids on a hayride or pony ride (operating hours are from 11:00 – 4:00).
Live Music: Old Charlotte Highwaymen will play the first set starting at 12, followed by The Lucky Buckeyes, then Dan Shearin beginning at 3:30.

Join us Saturday, October 12th from 3-6PM for a Phuncle Sam show at Pisgah Brewing Company. Come find a feeling of cheer, peace and a sense of normalcy in the spirit of the Grateful Dead.
Due to our lack of operation at the brewery, we will be giving away the rest of our draft beer in the cooler for free. You are welcome to bring your own beer and food. WE’RE BACK! Join us on The Grey Eagle patio TODAY (SAT 10/12) beginning at 4pm for live music, libations, food, hugs, and hangs. The Funk Jam House Band kicks off the action at 4pm followed by Drunken Prayer, Chris McGinnis and likely a surprise or two! Admission is free, donations are encouraged. We’ll also have a few community resource tables set up, so feel free to contribute supplies or take whatever you need. We’re here for you, Asheville, and we look forward to continuing to rebuild our one-of-a-kind community together!

A lot of you have been giving so much of your time, energy, and resources so far, so please let us bring you a little moment to breathe and enjoy some music while we continue these efforts to support those who are struggling. All proceeds from this show will, of course, go toward such local causes.

Their music is a dense thicket; intertwined with kudzu-like jams.
