Ghost-Note is an explosion of sound. Headed by Snarky Puppy’s multi-Grammy-winning percussion duo of Robert “Sput” Searight and Nate Werth, they feature an expansive roster of musicians representing members of Prince, Snoop Dogg, Erykah Badu, Herbie Hancock, Kendrick Lamar, Marcus Miller, Toto, Justin Timberlake, and more. This band is pushing funk music into the future, building on the pioneering foundations laid out by the likes of James Brown and Sly & the Family Stone. They infuse their fresh take with Afrobeat, hip-hop, psychedelia, world folklore, and more.
Pisgah Brewing Company operates an open air outdoor bar in the summer and fall months with live music on Thursdays and Sundays on WNC’s premier outdoor music venue, the Pisgah Brewing Outdoor Stage. Check out our 2024 schedule: here!
The N.C. Mountain State Fair opened in 1994. This “State Fair” of the west is held every year at the WNC Ag Center in Fletcher. A family friendly event, the fair showcases the many talents, cultures and traditions of Western N.C.

The Paper Crowns are the multi-instrument, genre-crossing power duo of Spiro and Nicole Nicolopoulos. Mixing Appalachian folk, bluegrass, delta blues, acid rock, and more, they cook up a sound all their own.
Sip and stroll through the Arboretum’s gardens in the glow of the golden hour, all while listening to live music from a variety of local and regional artists! ArborEvenings runs Thursdays and most Fridays through September from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m.
There is no additional cost to attend ArborEvenings beyond our standard parking fee. As always, Arboretum Society members and their accompanying guests can enter for FREE (guests must be in member vehicles to receive free entry). Proceeds from ArborEvenings help support the The North Carolina Arboretum Society and further advance the Arboretum’s mission.
