Headed by Snarky Puppy’s multi-Grammy-winning percussion duo of Robert “Sput” Searight and Nate Werth, they feature an expansive roster of musicians representing members of Prince, Snoop Dogg, Erykah Badu, Herbie Hancock, Kendrick Lamar, Marcus Miller, Toto, Justin Timberlake, and more. This band is pushing funk music into the future, building on the pioneering foundations laid out by the likes of James Brown and Sly & the Family Stone. This summer we are following King Gizzard around the US a bit and playing some afterparties on select dates of the tour. Excited to be playing in some areas we’ve never been to, and we’re looking forward to making new friends on the road!
Initially drawing inspiration from Jam music and traditional Americana, the sound established in the early years was loose, but fun, maybe even slightly subdued. As the band developed further, so did their sound, reflecting a heavier and more psychedelic influence in their music. The band now is firing on all cylinders, and their live shows touch on all fronts of this ever-broadening soundscape.

The first song he wrote was titled “Jay” an ode to his late Grandfather. Nick is quoted by saying “when the cords finally came together with the lyrics for the first time it brought me to tears and I knew this was something that I could passionately pursue”. Nick writes songs about love, life experiences and hardships we all face in the day to day grind. You can’t really put a label on the genre he resides in. Nick dives into to a few different genres such as Blues, Country, Rock and Folk music. For the last few years Nick has been tearing up the local scene in Western North Carolina with his band Nick Mac & The Noise that has the reputation of being a smooth playing, good time chasing high energy rocking country band that brings a good mix of originals and eclectic covers to the table

The dynamic band Garcia Peoples, featuring guitarists and vocalists Tom Malach and Danny Arakaki, drummer Cesar Arakaki, bassists Andy Cush and Derek Spaldo, and keyboardist P.G. WTF is a music festival dedicated to celebrating Women. We are also committed to supporting Trans women, and those who identify as non-binary. We aim to be a spotlight for these musicians, songwriters, sound engineers, and other music industry professionals as well as highlighting businesses and nonprofits that serve and support them. The primary goal of WTF is to shed light on the inequalities that exist in the music industry, and to work towards change.
