We are delighted to welcome Cast Iron Bluegrass sitting in for The Saylor Brothers this week. You will love their high energy bluegrass. Cast Iron is an acoustic band that takes traditional bluegrass stylings in pairs them with modern songwriting. Cast Iron’s songs often feature three part harmony and featured instrumental solos.

Shovels & Rope are an American folk duo from Charleston, South Carolina composed of husband and wife Michael Trent and Cary Ann Hearst. Combining threads from their individual solo careers, Shovels & Rope blends traditional folk, rock and roll and country rock.

Pisgah Brewing Company operates an open air outdoor bar in the summer and fall months with live music on Thursdays and Sundays on WNC’s premier outdoor music venue, the Pisgah Brewing Outdoor Stage. Check out our 2024 schedule: here!

As always, Arboretum Society members and their accompanying guests can enter for FREE (guests must be in member vehicles to receive free entry). Proceeds from ArborEvenings help support the The North Carolina Arboretum Society and further advance the Arboretum’s mission.

We hope you’ll attend this outstanding concert and experience an evening of contemporary solos and duo music featuring Gordon Beeferman on piano and Stephanie Griffin on viola. The program highlights Tunnel Visions, a dynamic four-movement duo that navigates through intricate microtonal landscapes, and Morton Feldman’s evocative The Viola in My Life (3), where Feldman creates a unique tapestry of melody and static sound inspired by abstract painting.
