From West Virginia and Widespread Panic, to the Velvet Underground and beyond, it’s a story about a place, time, group of people, and a particular communal vibe that would set Southern music on fire while no one— and everyone— was listening, carving a unique set of career paths and crossroads that would resonate deeply for over three decades, through both success and failure, and will surely be celebrated for years to come.
It’s partially the story of Athens, Georgia. But more importantly, it’s the story of Bloodkin. As a band, an idea, an ethos, and an attitude, that would help reshape the landscape of Southern Rock well into the 21st century.

At 76, George still maintains a healthy touring schedule with his Runnin’ Pardners, a cast of seasoned and talented musicians including long-time collaborator Michael Lemmler (keyboards), Terrence Houston (drums) and Chris Adkins (guitar). - Cave Grave is a down tuned death metal trio from Asheville, NC that blends osdm, slam and grindcore into a brutal cesspool of decrepit filth, and it’s catchy as hell. After just two splits and an EP, they unveil a proper full-length, “Unfurling Putridity”, eight songs of punishing death metal.

Americana Soul, Singer-songwriter & guitarist, Whitney Mongé learned to capture the power of authenticity while honing her skills as a street performer. Her rich and sultry voice, accompanied by a raspy break at the edges, has drawn comparisons to esteemed artists like Brittany Howard and Lenny Kravitz. Mongé’s bluesy, percussive guitar style is unique in it’s own right, and she mentions John Mayer and Dave Matthews as influences in her musicianship.

“Dylan LeBlanc is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who often finds himself flirting with the edge — or “dancing on a razor,” as he calls it — as it is all he has ever known. A verdict vagabond since he was a little boy tossed between Texas, Louisiana and Alabama, LeBlanc thrives on the precipice, never staying in one place for too long. It is that nomadic spirit that drew him not only to a life as a touring musician, but also to the beast that titles his newest record: ‘Coyote’.” – highroadtouring.com
Storytelling is something of a Texas tradition. Tall hats and even taller tales are woven into the fabric of The Lone Star State, and singer-songwriter Jarrod Dickenson can spin a yarn with the best of them. Hailing from Waco, now based in Nashville via Brooklyn, Dickenson spends most of his time on the road bringing his own particular brand of soulful Americana to a wide variety of music loving audiences around the globe.
