Pisgah Brewing has partnered with Women to the Front to host the WTF Blues Project made up of many of the area’s best female blues inspired singers and musicians. This is going to be a night of many magic moments….

Laura exhibits a poetic and technical depth that has garnered comparisons to Joni Mitchell, Norah Jones, and Nick Drake. She writes intimate folk music with classical influence that has been described as meditative, transcendental, and within the “chamber-folk” genre (Asheville’s Mountain Xpress). Along with being a singer-songwriter, Laura has a degree in classical guitar performance and studied piano from a young age.
Orbiting Human Circus (duo) featuring Songs of The Music Tapes will perform at Citizen Vinyl on Thursday, Sept 14. Doors at 6 p.m. / show at 7 p.m.

More Big News for White Horse Black Mountain !!
After becoming a nonprofit organization in the spring of 2023, White Horse Black Mountain this very week purchased the property where they have hosted concerts and events for the community for the past 15 years. September 7 will forever be an anniversary for the White Horse Community to celebrate.
The White Horse “Herd” is celebrating this momentous step with a champagne toast during the Thursday, September 14th “Just for Members” Concert with The Belfast Boys.
The White Horse team also invites non-members who might be interested in learning about membership, to attend the 7:30 show.

Aunt Vicki is a retro rock band with a hint of folk, a little dreamy around the edges. Married songwriting duo Erin Campbell and Lee Dyer write straightforward melody-driven songs and perform as both an acoustic duo and a four piece band.
The Cheeksters combine the best of what made music great in the 1960’s with a winning, fresh pop approach that delights audiences. Onstage the versatile four-piece band turns out its straightforward catchy pop confections, bringing to mind a swirling variety of influences : Memphis soul, Carnaby Street pop, swampy rhythm and blues, and more.

The Scatterlings are a three piece acoustic/Americana band based in Asheville, North Carolina. The Ruckus is led by Mama who writes songs about the trauma and pain that every person inevitably experiences in their lives. With soaring guitars, wailing vocals, screaming harmonicas, and funky bass, keys, and drums, the Ruckus has a sound that is undeniably unique.

The Red Hot Sugar Babies perform sassy jazz and sultry blues of the roaring 20’s-30’s including Vintage Jazz, Blues, Swing, Ragtime, Dixieland, New Orleans. Women to the Front is a music festival that was created to celebrate females in the music industry in Asheville, NC. Featuring live music by all female musicians, vendor spots for female-owned businesses and nonprofits, female sound engineers, female photographers and videographers, and female owned food trucks, this event in its 2nd year will be held at New Belgium Brewing on September 17th 2023. It is a family friendly event and free to the public.
Laissez les bon temps rouler! Treat yourself to the flavors of Louisiana cuisine and two-step your way to happiness. This favorite fundraiser for the Asheville Mardi Gras parade is back! Asheville Mardi Gras parade fundraiser featuring music and tastings from local restaurant and private chefs.
Doors open at 12 pm. Tasting is from 1-3. Dance party is 3-5. Playing traditional Cajun music with a little honky-tonk thrown in, Jackomo Cajun Country Band has been hosting local Cajun dances for a decade!

On top of that, Laura then adds sweet sugary vocals to her acoustic Folk-Grass mix while giving energy and presence to capture your attention.
